Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the central bank of Nepal, has released the official foreign exchange rates for today. According to the bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at NPR 136.40, while the selling rate is fixed at NPR 137.00. As per NRB’s announcement, the exchange rate for the European Euro stands at NPR 150.82 for buying and NPR 151.48 for selling. Similarly, one British Pound Sterling is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 179.45 and a selling rate of NPR 180.24. The Swiss Franc has been set at NPR 158.13 for buying and NPR 158.82 for selling.
For the Australian Dollar, the central bank has determined the exchange rate at NPR 86.50 for buying and NPR 86.89 for selling. Meanwhile, the Canadian Dollar is being traded at NPR 96.44 for buying and NPR 96.86 for selling. The Singapore Dollar’s exchange rate stands at NPR 102.08 for buying and NPR 102.53 for selling.
Asian Currencies and Middle Eastern Exchange Rates
Among Asian currencies, the Japanese Yen (per 10 units) has been set at NPR 9.31 for buying and NPR 9.35 for selling. The Chinese Yuan is being exchanged at NPR 18.69 for buying and NPR 18.77 for selling. The Thai Baht is set at NPR 3.97 for buying and NPR 3.99 for selling, while the South Korean Won (per 100 units) is valued at NPR 9.37 for buying and NPR 9.41 for selling.
Regarding Middle Eastern currencies, the Saudi Arabian Riyal is fixed at NPR 36.36 for buying and NPR 36.52 for selling, whereas the Qatari Riyal stands at NPR 37.42 for buying and NPR 37.58 for selling. The UAE Dirham is being exchanged at NPR 37.13 for buying and NPR 37.30 for selling. The Malaysian Ringgit is listed at NPR 30.71 for buying and NPR 30.84 for selling.
The exchange rate for the Hong Kong Dollar has been set at NPR 17.54 for buying and NPR 17.61 for selling. The Kuwaiti Dinar, one of the highest-valued currencies, is being traded at NPR 443.38 for buying and NPR 445.33 for selling. The Bahraini Dinar stands at NPR 361.83 for buying and NPR 363.42 for selling, while the Omani Riyal is fixed at NPR 354.32 for buying and NPR 355.88 for selling.
Exchange Rate for Indian Rupee
Given Nepal’s close economic ties with India, the exchange rate for the Indian Rupee (INR) is a crucial factor in daily trade and financial transactions. Nepal Rastra Bank has set the exchange rate for INR 100 at NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling.
