Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the official foreign exchange rates for various currencies for today. According to the bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is set at NPR 134.71, while the selling rate is NPR 135.31.
For other major currencies, the buying rate for one Euro is NPR 144.39 and the selling rate is NPR 145.03. The UK pound sterling stands at NPR 174.09 for buying and NPR 174.86 for selling. Similarly, the Swiss franc is listed at NPR 153.85 for buying and NPR 154.53 for selling.
The buying rate for one Australian dollar is NPR 88.68, while the selling rate is NPR 89.07. One Canadian dollar is set at NPR 96.85 for buying and NPR 97.28 for selling. Meanwhile, the Singapore dollar is priced at NPR 101.57 for buying and NPR 102.02 for selling.
For other regional currencies, the Japanese yen has a buying rate of NPR 8.83 per 10 yen and a selling rate of NPR 8.86. The Chinese yuan is NPR 18.76 for buying and NPR 18.85 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal is valued at NPR 35.87 for buying and NPR 36.03 for selling, while the Qatari riyal is set at NPR 36.95 for buying and NPR 37.12 for selling.
According to the NRB, the Thai baht has a buying rate of NPR 3.94 and a selling rate of NPR 3.96. The UAE dirham is listed at NPR 36.68 for buying and NPR 36.84 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at NPR 30.74 for buying and NPR 30.88 for selling. The South Korean won is valued at NPR 9.63 per 100 won for buying and NPR 9.68 for selling. Additionally, the Swedish krona and Danish krone are priced at NPR 12.45 and NPR 19.36 for buying, with selling rates of NPR 12.51 and NPR 19.45, respectively.
The Hong Kong dollar is set at NPR 17.33 for buying and NPR 17.40 for selling, while the Kuwaiti dinar holds one of the highest rates at NPR 439.30 for buying and NPR 441.25 for selling. The Bahraini dinar is listed at NPR 357.32 for buying and NPR 358.91 for selling. Additionally, the exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees stands at NPR 160 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling.
NRB has noted that these exchange rates are subject to change as needed. Commercial banks may set slightly different rates, and the most updated exchange rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
