NEPSE Recovers with 28.91-Point Surge, Hotel and Tourism Index Also Rises

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a robust recovery today, gaining 28.91 points, equivalent to a 1.11% increase, and closing at 2,612.20. This positive turn comes after a previous session that saw a double-digit loss of 13.53 points.

The market opened at 2,582.29 and experienced notable fluctuations throughout the day. It reached an intraday high of 2,612.20 before dipping to an intraday low of 2,580.49, showcasing a volatile trading session.

In parallel, the Hotel and Tourism Index displayed a modest gain, rising by 28.07 points (0.43%) to close at 6,417.42. This rebound follows a double-digit decline of 10.61 points in the previous trading session.

The Hotel and Tourism Index opened at 6,412.62 and, like the broader market, demonstrated considerable movement. It achieved an intraday high of 6,453.09 while touching a low of 6,363.34.

The gains in both the NEPSE and the Hotel and Tourism Index signal renewed investor confidence, with the tourism sector making a steady comeback amid recent market uncertainties.
