NTB And NAC Forge Historic Partnership to Promote Nepal Globally

o elevate Nepal’s tourism on the international stage, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly promote Nepal’s tourism products worldwide. The collaboration spans global tourism fairs, digital campaigns, fam trips, mega events, branding, and joint promotional activities, marking a significant step forward for Nepal’s tourism diplomacy.

According to officials, the partnership aims to unify Nepal’s tourism promotion efforts, sending a powerful and consistent message about the country’s rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, and unique experiences to international markets.

Comprehensive Collaboration Across Platforms

Under the MoU, NTB will provide Nepal Airlines free participation as the “Partner Airline” in all major international promotional activities, including tourism fairs, sales missions, roadshows, press conferences, and fam trips. Meanwhile, NAC will support the initiatives by allowing up to 100 kilograms of promotional materials free of charge on its flights, offering complimentary tickets for joint programs, and providing discounted fare facilities.

Both organizations will jointly organize fam trips featuring influential personalities, journalists, bloggers, tour operators, and celebrities to enhance global awareness of Nepal’s tourism offerings. The partnership also includes producing integrated digital advertisements, promotional videos, joint branding materials, website link support, and billboard campaigns, ensuring a cohesive presentation of Nepal as a premier tourist destination.

Strengthening Nepal’s Global Image

The MoU also highlights the development of brochures, guidebooks, posters, and cultural representation materials, along with joint participation in international national day celebrations and trade events. For mega events in Nepal featuring foreign artists, film producers, athletes, and celebrities, NAC will provide concessionary tickets to facilitate participation and promote Nepal as a vibrant destination.

This collaboration is expected to make Nepal’s tourism promotion framework more dynamic, coordinated, and results-oriented. Both NTB and NAC have agreed to prepare joint six-monthly reports to evaluate the effectiveness of their activities and continuously improve strategies.

Historic Step for Nepal’s Tourism Sector

Following the MoU signing, NTB Chief Executive Officer Deepak Raj Joshi described the partnership as a historic step for expanding Nepal’s international presence and market reach. “Nepal Airlines is our national pride, and tourism is its driving force. This strategic partnership will amplify the ‘Nepali brand’ globally, ensuring the highest level of promotion and visibility,” Joshi said.

He emphasized that integrated promotion from airports to destinations will enhance Nepal’s identity and visibility in international markets. “From fam trips and mega events to digital campaigns and global fairs, this joint effort will take Nepal’s tourism sector to new heights,” he added.

The collaboration between NTB and NAC represents a strategic, sustainable approach to tourism development, combining national pride with global outreach. By leveraging Nepal Airlines’ network and NTB’s promotional expertise, the partnership is expected to attract more tourists, boost local economies, and strengthen Nepal’s position as a premier destination for international travelers.
