Luzhou’s Tourism Partnership with Pokhara Strengthened Through Official Visit

A team led by Pokhara Metropolitan Chief Dhanraj Acharya has successfully arrived in Luzhou, China, via Sichuan Airlines’ inaugural commercial flight from Pokhara International Airport. The primary objective of the visit is to promote and ensure the success of the Pokhara Tourism Year 2025.

The delegation, which includes Pokhara Tourism Council President Taranath Pahari, Nepal Tourism Board Gandaki Province Chief Maniraj Lamichhane, and Pokhara Tourism Year 2025 Coordinator Gopi Bahadur Bhattarai, was warmly greeted by the Mayor of Luzhou and the Deputy Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party, marking a significant step in fostering strong ties between the two cities.

The visit comes in the context of celebrating 70 years of diplomatic relations between Nepal and China, with the goal of further enhancing collaboration in various sectors. During the trip, both cities’ leaders held extensive discussions focused on boosting tourism, cultural exchange, education, sports, and economic development. They explored the shared interests and potential areas for growth between Pokhara and Luzhou, with an emphasis on establishing long-term cooperation.

The visit highlights the efforts to create closer ties between Nepal and China, particularly in the fields of tourism and economic development.
