Starting today, Qatar Airways has initiated regular flights from Bhairahawa Airport as per the schedule approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN). The airline will operate seven flights weekly, aiming to enhance connectivity between Nepal and Qatar.
According to the schedule, Qatar Airways’ flight will arrive at Bhairahawa Airport from Doha every day at 2:45 PM. The same aircraft will depart for Kathmandu at 4:45 PM and then continue to Doha at 6:55 PM. This schedule is effective until November 30, after which CAAN plans to introduce a direct Doha-Bhairahawa-Doha route.
Qatar Airways is the fifth international airline to operate from Bhairahawa Airport, following Nepal Airlines, Fly Dubai, Jazeera Airways, and Thai AirAsia. CAAN’s Deputy Manager Gyanendra Bhul emphasized the strategic importance of these scheduled flights, highlighting that the addition of globally recognized airlines strengthens Bhairahawa’s status as an international airport, enhancing Nepal’s tourism and connectivity.
