Second Edition of Enduro International Mountain Bike Race Kicks Off in Pokhara

The second edition of the Enduro International Mountain Bike Race commenced today in the scenic Arwavijaya village of Pokhara Metropolitan City-13. The event, which runs until November 29, has attracted 59 cyclists from 13 countries, including Nepal.

Sunil Chandra Sharma, the competition’s director, highlighted the growing popularity of the race, emphasizing its significance in promoting adventure sports in the region.

Inaugurating the event, Gandaki Province’s Minister for Social Development, Youth, and Sports, Bindu Kumar Thapa, stated that adventure sports such as the Pokhara Enduro Race provide a unique boost to Pokhara’s tourism and contribute to the national economy.

Ward President Kiran Baral noted that the competition, held at the picturesque Arwa-Vijaydanda at an altitude of 1,400 meters above sea level, plays a vital role in enhancing Pokhara’s appeal as a premier destination for adventure tourism.

The event not only showcases the region’s natural beauty and potential for adventure sports but also reinforces Pokhara’s position as a global hub for tourism and outdoor activities.
