Sirachuli Joins Best Western, Putting Bharatpur on Global Hospitality Map

Established hotel Sirachuli in Bharatpur, Chitwan, has joined international hospitality brand Best Western Hotels & Resorts, bringing the global hotel chain’s presence in Nepal to three properties. Following the franchise agreement, the hotel will operate as Best Western Sirachuli Hotel, introducing Best Western’s international booking network, loyalty programme and service standards while retaining its local identity and Nepali hospitality character. The formal handover took place on Monday on the auspicious occasion of Nag Panchami, marking the beginning of the hotel’s operations under the international brand.

International Brand Enters Chitwan’s Hospitality Market

The addition of Best Western Siraichuli is expected to strengthen Bharatpur’s profile as an emerging tourism and business destination. According to Anjan Bagale, Chief Operating Officer of Best Western Hotels Nepal, the franchise partnership will help improve the hotel’s operational systems, guest services and facilities in line with international hospitality standards. The partnership is also expected to increase the hotel’s visibility among international tourists and business travellers while supporting the wider promotion of Bharatpur as a tourism destination.

Its proximity gives hotels in Bharatpur an important role in accommodating visitors travelling to Chitwan for wildlife safaris and nature-based experiences. Beyond wildlife tourism, Bharatpur has developed into an important centre for business, healthcare, education, conferences and domestic tourism.

Growing Demand for Quality Accommodation

Improving road and air connectivity, expanding infrastructure and increasing commercial activity have contributed to growing demand for quality accommodation and hospitality services in Bharatpur. The arrival of an international hotel brand is expected to strengthen the city’s accommodation options and provide international visitors with access to a globally recognised hotel network. Best Western’s Presence Reaches Three Hotels

Before the addition of the Bharatpur property, Best Western operated two hotels in Nepal. One is located near Tribhuvan International Airport and Pashupatinath Temple, while another operates in Godawari. With Best Western Sirachuli now joining the network, the brand’s presence has expanded beyond the Kathmandu Valley to Chitwan.

Boost for Chitwan’s Tourism Industry

The expansion of Best Western into Bharatpur reflects the growing importance of Chitwan’s tourism and business market. For international visitors, the new hotel can provide an additional internationally branded accommodation option close to one of Nepal’s most important wildlife destinations. For Bharatpur, the partnership could strengthen its position as a gateway for wildlife tourism while supporting business travel, conferences and other forms of tourism. The development also reflects the broader expansion of international hotel brands in Nepal as the country’s hospitality industry seeks to attract more international visitors and connect local properties with global tourism networks.
