Three Airlines Resume Flights at Gautam Buddha Airport After 2-Month Break

After nearly two months, three international airlines operated flights on the same day from Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa. Previously, the airport had seen up to five international flights daily, but weather conditions had caused airlines to suspend operations during this period.

Thick fog had been affecting flights, leading airlines to halt their services temporarily. However, on Thursday ( january 6) , Jazeera Airways, Fly Dubai, and Thai AirAsia successfully operated flights. According to Airport Manager Pratap Babu Tiwari, 452 passengers were served on these three flights.

Tiwari stated that after the operation of three international flights on the same day, the airport is gradually regaining momentum. He explained that the poor visibility caused by adverse weather had previously prevented regular flights.

From Jazeera Airways, 102 passengers arrived in Bhairahawa, while the same aircraft carried 149 passengers departing from Bhairahawa. Thai AirAsia had 128 passengers departing from the airport. Additionally, Fly Dubai from Dubai saw 44 passengers arriving in Bhairahawa, and 29 passengers flew out of Bhairahawa.
