A Royal Bengal tiger was found dead today in the Kisan Buffer Zone Community Forest. The carcass was in a decomposed state. According to Purushottam Wagle, Information Officer at Shuklaphanta National Park, the dead male tiger was estimated to be around 13 years old. “Investigations suggest that the tiger died of natural causes due to old age,” he stated.
The official also mentioned that half of the tiger’s body was burned due to a fire in the grassland. A forest guard spotted the dead tiger in the bushes and informed the Buffer Zone Committee, which then reported the incident to the national park authorities.
