Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has announced its expanded 2027 “Spectacular Journeys of the World” collection, bringing together luxury river cruises, rail journeys and guided land tours across destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. The new programme reflects the growing demand for longer and more immersive premium holidays, while allowing travellers to combine different forms of transportation and experiences within a single journey.
Wider Range of Luxury Journeys
The new 148-page collection brings Uniworld’s river-cruise programme together with small-group touring experiences from its sister brand, Luxury Gold. The expanded portfolio includes new combined cruise-and-tour itineraries in Italy, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.
Luxury guided tours are also being introduced or expanded in destinations including Japan, South Africa, Scandinavia, Croatia and the Dalmatian Coast, New Zealand and Canada. The company has retained its established long-haul programmes covering India, South America, Southeast Asia and Egypt, many of which combine sightseeing, luxury accommodation, cultural experiences and premium rail or river travel.
India Featured in Premium Long-Haul Tourism
India remains an important part of Uniworld’s long-haul offering, with journeys designed around the country’s cultural heritage, luxury hospitality and rail experiences. Its India programme includes itineraries connecting destinations such as Udaipur and Varanasi, alongside stays at renowned luxury properties and a seven-night journey aboard the Ganges Voyager II. Other experiences incorporate Varanasi and the Maharajas’ Express, combining luxury rail travel with cultural exploration. The continued inclusion of India in the collection highlights the country’s appeal within the international market for high-value and experience-led tourism.
New Experiences Across Europe and Asia
Among the new 2027 offerings is Savour Northern Italy, a 14-day journey from Milan to Venice combining a land tour with a seven-night river cruise aboard the S.S. La Venezia. The itinerary features Lake Como, Lake Maggiore, Verona, the Dolomites, the Prosecco region and Venice.
Legendary Japan is a 13-day journey from Osaka to Tokyo, featuring Kyoto, Hiroshima and Miyajima along with traditional cultural experiences and travel aboard Japan’s high-speed bullet train. Meanwhile, Timeless Scandinavia offers a 12-day journey through Denmark, Sweden and Norway, including scenic travel on the Flåm Railway and experiences around Norway’s fjords.
The 2027 collection will also highlight three new Uniworld Super Ships, SS Marlene, SS São Rafael and SS Audrey alongside the company’s existing European river-cruise programme. Uniworld said the expanded collection reflects the increasing popularity of longer, higher-value and immersive holidays, while providing travel advisers with a broader range of luxury experiences to offer travellers.
For the tourism industry, the development reflects a wider shift toward experiential luxury travel, where travellers increasingly seek journeys that combine cultural heritage, nature, premium hospitality and multiple modes of transportation rather than conventional single-destination holidays.
