Unlocking Nepal’s Travel Potential: Dynamic Storytelling Workshop Empowers Tourism Leaders

The first day of the two-day workshop titled “Storytelling in Nepal’s Travel Industry” witnessed an engaging start at The Lawn, Jhamsikhel Road. The event is jointly organized by the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) and the Sustainable Tourism Leadership and Recovery Program (STLRP), a collaborative initiative between the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Nepal.

The workshop began with an inspiring welcome address from NATTA President Kumar Mani Thapliya, who emphasized the significance of storytelling in enriching Nepal’s tourism sector. Following his remarks, NTB CEO Deepak Raj Joshi commended the event and congratulated the over 30 participants for being part of this transformative initiative.

The workshop drew attention to the importance of narrative techniques in promoting Nepal’s unique travel experiences on a global scale. It also showcased a united effort to equip participants with skills that could redefine how Nepal’s travel stories are told, creating a deeper connection with tourists.

The presence of NATTA board members further underscored the event’s significance, reflecting their dedication to fostering innovation in Nepal’s travel industry. With its promising start, the workshop is set to deliver more insights and interactive sessions on its second day, aiming to elevate Nepal’s tourism branding through impactful storytelling.
