10th National Yoga Day Celebrated with Programs at Kamaladi’s Skywalk Tower

The 10th National Yoga Day was marked with various activities at the iconic Skywalk Tower today. The event, jointly organized by Skywalk, Ashtanga Yoga, Yogabhumi, and the World Peace Meditation Center, featured yoga sessions and discussions on the 256-foot-high Skywalk, as informed by the tower’s Managing Director, Bishnu Hari Pandey.

According to Pandey, the programs aimed to promote adventurous yoga practices and raise awareness about yoga’s benefits.

The event witnessed participation from approximately 150 individuals representing organizations such as Ashtanga Yoga, Kirtipur Yoga Society, Tarkeshwar Yoga Center, Anamnagar Women’s Yoga Society, and Yogabhumi, stated Rohit Gyawali, Chief Executive Officer of Skywalk Tower.

“We conducted yoga sessions on the Skywalk for the 10th National Yoga Day and plan to continue these weekly,” Gyawali announced. He added that prioritizing yoga education and fostering healthy lifestyles among citizens remains their key focus.

Swami Kalyan, a yoga guru from the World Peace Meditation Center, emphasized the role of yoga in balancing life and understanding oneself. He expressed confidence that such programs would help develop yoga as a holistic way of life.

The event featured a remarkable session of 100 rounds of Surya Namaskar, with enthusiastic participation from both men and women. The practice began at 6 AM and continued until 9 AM, showcasing the dedication of participants to yoga and wellness.

The celebration highlighted yoga’s significance as a tool for personal growth and community health, reinforcing its role in fostering harmony and well-being.
