In a tragic incident in Gudauri, Georgia, 11 Indian nationals have been found dead at a ski resort. The Embassy of India in Tbilisi confirmed the news via its official X account, stating that efforts are underway to gather more information and determine the cause of death.
According to local police, the bodies of 11 Indians and one Georgian national were discovered on the second floor of the resort. Initial reports suggest that the deaths might have been caused by carbon monoxide poisoning.
AFP news agency reported that the deceased were found lying in their sleeping areas, with no visible signs of external injuries. Preliminary investigations indicate that after a power outage on Friday, an oil-powered generator was used, which could have contributed to the tragic incident.
