In a significant development for the mountaineering sector, the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) has introduced a revised curriculum for its Professional Mountain Guide and Mountain Leader courses. The revised curriculum was developed through a collaborative effort between the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and the NMA, with financial and technical support provided by the NMA. The project involved close coordination with the Syllabus Revision Committee formed by the NMA to ensure that the new syllabus meets international standards while addressing the specific needs of Nepal’s diverse and challenging mountaineering environment.
After rigorous discussions and revisions, the new curriculum was officially handed over to the NMA Board by the committee in a formal ceremony.
