180 Pilgrims From Sunsari To Depart For Hajj

This year, 180 residents of Sunsari district are scheduled to travel to Mecca and Medina, Saudi Arabia, for the Hajj. The Hajj Committee is helping to organize the trip, which is regarded as the holiest pilgrimage in Islam.

Preparations are finished, and the pilgrims will embark on their journey on Saturday, Jestha 3 (May 17), in five stages, according to Mojammil Miyan Ansari, coordinator of the Sunsari Hajj Committee.

118 pilgrims will take a plane from Kathmandu to Saudi Arabia on Sunday morning, escorted by a member of the Hajj Committee and an embassy official. Later that evening, four more pilgrims will join another group, and the rest will leave on later dates.

The 180 people were chosen from among those who applied this fiscal year as well as those who were still pending applications from the previous year, according to the Sunsari District Administration Office. Health examinations, visa applications, lodging, and transportation arrangements have all been completed, according to the Hajj Management Committee.
