30% Discounts at Hotels in Pokhara for Upcoming Festivals

Hotels in Pokhara, Nepal’s tourism capital, will offer a 30% discount on accommodation rates during the festive season, including Dashain, Deepawali, and Chhath. This announcement was made today at a press conference organized by the Hotel Association of Nepal, Pokhara, where association president Laxman Subedi encouraged domestic tourists to take advantage of the offer.

The discounted rates will be available from the onset of Dashain until the end of Tihar, aiming to attract visitors during this festive period. Subedi highlighted that the initiative is part of ongoing promotional efforts to make Pokhara and the entire Gandaki Province suitable for travel and trekking throughout the year.

“Despite the challenges faced by the tourism sector, including earthquakes, blockades, and the COVID-19 pandemic, our association is continuously working towards the development, expansion, and promotion of the region,” Subedi stated. He expressed optimism that the discount campaign would significantly contribute to attracting internal tourists.

Rajendra Dhakal, the association’s general secretary, noted that the tourism sector has been severely impacted by recent natural disasters, including landslides and flooding following heavy rainfall. He expressed hope that the implementation of the 30% discount would ease the recovery process for the tourism industry, which has recently shown signs of returning to normal.

Ganeshraj Pahari, the association’s second vice president, shared updates on the ongoing improvements to the Pokhara-Muglin section of the Prithvi Highway, assuring that the highway remains open and safe for travel. He encouraged everyone to visit Pokhara, highlighting that the region’s hotels employ over 15,000 individuals. With the festive season approaching, the Hotel Association of Nepal aims to enhance local tourism and support the economic recovery of the region.
