The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecasted generally to fully cloudy weather in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the rest of the country will experience partly to generally cloudy conditions.
Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is currently occurring in several locations within Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces.
This afternoon, the weather is expected to remain generally to fully cloudy nationwide. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in a few areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in Madhes and Bagmati provinces. Additionally, heavy rainfall is anticipated in one or two locations within Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Tonight, the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will experience generally to fully cloudy weather, while the rest of the country will see partly to generally cloudy skies. Heavy rainfall is expected at one or two places in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with light to moderate rain and thunder and lightning likely in several areas across Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces over the next 24 hours.
In light of the forecasted heavy rainfall in some regions, the Department has urged the public to remain alert, as the weather conditions may partially impact daily life, agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road, and air transport in the affected areas.
