Nepal Promotes Tourism in Thailand: A Collaborative Effort by Nepal Embassy and Nepal Tourism Board

The Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok, in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), hosted a Tourism Promotion Programme in Bangkok, Thailand, on Thursday. The event aimed to boost tourism between Nepal and Thailand, featuring the participation of 75 companies from both nations.

A total of 25 travel and tour operating companies from Nepal and 50 from Thailand attended the program. The event also saw the presence of representatives from Nepal Airlines Corporation, Thai Airways, and Thai Lion Air, along with officials from the Thai government, business entrepreneurs, media personnel, and members of the Non-Resident Nepali Association.

In his address, Nepal’s Ambassador to Thailand, Dhan Bahadur Oli, encouraged participants to explore the vast business potential in Nepal’s tourism sector. He highlighted Nepal as an all-season destination suitable for a diverse range of travelers, including those interested in cultural and heritage sites, nature, pilgrimage, adventure, leisure, sports, and jungle safaris.

The Embassy emphasized that such business meetings are crucial for fostering business networking, developing partnerships, and sharing information between the two business communities to maximize tourism potential.

During the event, Vitidnan Rojanapanich, the first Thai to summit Everest in 2008 and President of the Thai-Nepal Friendship Association shared his experiences of Nepal and the Himalayas with the attendees. Additionally, Nabin Pokharel of NTB presented “Experience Nepal: Lumbini to Himalayan Bliss,” highlighting Nepal’s key tourist attractions.

The program is expected to strengthen tourism ties between Nepal and Thailand, paving the way for increased business opportunities and cultural exchange.
