Nepal’s tourism landscape is poised for a significant uptick in Bangladeshi visitors, driven by a proactive initiative spearheaded by the Hotel Association Nepal (HAN). Today marks the departure of a delegation comprising 21 esteemed business members, led by HAN President Vinayak Shah, embarking on a mission to Bangladesh aimed at bolstering bilateral tourism ties.
Facilitated by HAN in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board and the Nepali Embassy in Bangladesh, the initiative spans from July 4 to 7. A highlight of the agenda includes a prestigious tourism promotional event scheduled for July 5 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This event will feature key stakeholders such as prominent tourism entrepreneurs, tour operators, Bangladeshi government officials, Nepali diplomats, and journalists. The itinerary boasts specialized tourism promotion activities alongside a gala dinner.
The primary objective of this endeavor is to augment Bangladeshi tourist arrivals in Nepal, both from the region and the country at large. In a move to fortify these efforts, HAN has forged a memorandum of understanding with the Bangladesh International Hotel Association. This pact aims to facilitate the exchange of insights into tourism promotion, training initiatives, and advancements within the hotel sector.
During their stay, the delegation will engage in pivotal meetings with Bangladeshi government representatives and key players in the tourism sector. These deliberations are geared towards fostering mutual tourism growth and enhancing the flow of Bangladeshi visitors to Nepal.
The coordination and facilitation of this landmark event have been expertly handled by the Nepali Embassy in Dhaka, with overarching supervision of tourism promotion activities provided by HAN Secretary General and Spokesperson Sajan Shakya, underlining Nepal’s proactive approach to expanding its tourism horizons.
