Nepal Rastra Bank has published the foreign exchange rates for Thursday, determining the buying and selling rates of major international currencies. According to the central bank, the exchange rate for one US dollar has been fixed at NPR 137.79 for buying and NPR 137.39 for selling.
Similarly, one Euro is being traded at NPR 155.51 for buying and NPR 156.19 for selling, while the UK Pound Sterling stands at NPR 181.56 for buying and NPR 182.36 for selling. The Swiss Franc has been fixed at NPR 167.46 for buying and NPR 168.19 for selling.
For other major currencies, the exchange rate for one Australian Dollar is NPR 87.20 for buying and NPR 87.58 for selling, while the Canadian Dollar stands at NPR 98.30 for buying and NPR 98.74 for selling. The Singapore Dollar is valued at NPR 104.13 for buying and NPR 104.59 for selling.
Regarding Asian currencies, the rate for 10 Japanese Yen is NPR 9.59 for buying and NPR 9.63 for selling. One Chinese Yuan is valued at NPR 18.72 for buying and NPR 18.81 for selling. The Saudi Arabian Riyal is at NPR 36.45 (buying) and NPR 36.61 (selling), while the Qatari Riyal is priced at NPR 37.53 (buying) and NPR 37.69 (selling).
Further, the Thai Baht has been fixed at NPR 4.12 for buying and NPR 4.13 for selling. The UAE Dirham is at NPR 37.24 for buying and NPR 37.40 for selling. The Malaysian Ringgit is at NPR 31.01 (buying) and NPR 31.15 (selling), while 100 South Korean Won is valued at NPR 9.64 for buying and NPR 9.69 for selling. The Swedish Krona stands at NPR 13.93 (buying) and NPR 14.00 (selling), and the Danish Krone is NPR 20.83 for buying and NPR 20.92 for selling.
Among other currencies, the Hong Kong Dollar is at NPR 17.63 (buying) and NPR 17.71 (selling). The Kuwaiti Dinar is listed at NPR 446.24 for buying and NPR 448.20 for selling, the Bahraini Dinar at NPR 362.87 (buying) and NPR 364.46 (selling), and the Omani Riyal at NPR 355.30 for buying and NPR 356.86 for selling.
The Indian Rupee, which is also widely used in Nepal, has been valued at NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling for every 100 units. Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that the published rates are subject to change as per necessity. It also noted that the rates set by commercial banks may vary and the most updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
