By taking a prominent role at the international travel trade fair, Nepal reaffirmed its commitment to deepening tourism ties with India, particularly targeting high-potential regions such as Tamil Nadu and neighboring southern states.

South India: A Growing Opportunity for Nepal

India continues to be Nepal’s largest source market for inbound tourism, with Indian visitors consistently accounting for the highest number of international arrivals. Within India, southern states such as Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala are emerging as rapidly expanding segments.

This growth is driven by rising disposable incomes, improved air connectivity, and strong cultural and religious ties between Nepal and South India. NTB’s participation in TTF Chennai aligns with its broader strategy to position Nepal as a preferred short-haul destination for South Indian travelers.
