NEPSE Index Dips While Hotel and Tourism Sector Shows Positive Gains

On the latest trading day, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 2,536.11, marking a decrease of 27.32 points or 1.06% from the previous day’s close. The index had shown significant gains of 75.33 points on the preceding trading day.

The session began with the index at 2,573.23 points, with fluctuations throughout the day—reaching an intraday low of 2,513.43 points and peaking at 2,600.41 points before settling at its closing value. The index’s movement indicates a struggle to surpass the resistance level of 2,600 points, and future trading sessions will reveal if it can break through or retreat from this zone.

In contrast, the Hotel and Tourism Index experienced a positive shift, gaining 8.59 points or 0.13%, closing at 6,600.17 points. This follows a notable increase of 201.04 points in the previous session.
