NATTA Successfully Concludes Storytelling Training Program in Collaboration with STP

The Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) has successfully concluded its Storytelling Training Program, conducted in collaboration with the Sustainable Tourism Project (STP), a joint initiative of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and UNDP Nepal. The program’s closing session was held in Kathmandu on 31st March 2026, marking the successful completion of an initiative aimed at enhancing storytelling and communication skills within Nepal’s tourism sector.

High-Level Participation and Collaborative Effort

The closing session was graced by the NATTA Secretary General, Yubika Bhandari, along with esteemed board members of the organization. The program reflected a coordinated effort between NATTA, STP, NTB, and UNDP Nepal, highlighting the importance of capacity building in promoting sustainable and responsible tourism practices across the country.

The program brought together a diverse group of 35 participants, including travel agents, tour operators, and other tourism professionals, all eager to enhance their storytelling capabilities as a key tool for marketing and promoting Nepal’s tourism offerings globally

Expert-Led Training Sessions

The training sessions were expertly facilitated by Dr. Pashupati Neupane and renowned storyteller Mr. Anil Chitrakar, with the support of associate professionals. Participants were engaged through interactive workshops, practical exercises, and immersive storytelling techniques, aimed at improving their ability to narrate compelling stories that connect tourists with Nepal’s rich cultural and natural heritage.

Certificates and Formal Closing

Certificates of completion were distributed to all participants in the presence of NATTA board members and the trainers, recognizing their active participation and newly acquired skills.

The program concluded with a formal closing remark delivered by NATTA Training Coordinator, Mrs. Shradha Joshi, who emphasized the significance of storytelling as a strategic tool to enhance Nepal’s tourism sector and create memorable experiences for visitors.
