The Hotels and Tourism Index recorded a moderate gain in today’s trading session, rising 73.90 points, or 0.99%, to close at 7,510.39. The sector index had declined by 23.59 points in the previous trading session. The index opened at 7,409.57 and remained volatile throughout the session. It reached an intraday high of 7,510.39 and fell to a low of 7,354.64 before closing at the day’s high.

NEPSE Rises 14.17 Points
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) also closed higher, gaining 14.17 points, or 0.52%, to settle at 2,726.72. The benchmark index had lost 13.95 points in the previous trading session.

NEPSE opened at 2,695.63 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,726.77 and a low of 2,689.30 before ending the session near its highest level of the day.

Rs. 4.69 Billion Turnover Recorded
The total turnover stood at Rs. 4.69 billion, with 10,077,222 shares traded across 338 companies through 57,782 transactions. The total market capitalisation of the Nepal Stock Exchange reached Rs. 46.86 trillion, while the float market capitalisation stood at Rs. 15.76 trillion.
