Krishna Prasad Acharya, President of the Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) Gandaki, has been nominated as an invited member of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Gandaki Province.
According to FNCCI Gandaki Province, the nomination was made in accordance with the decision of the second meeting of its Executive Committee held on Jestha 24, 2083. The federation formally informed Krishna Prasad Acharya of his appointment as an invited member.

Expected to Contribute to Strengthening the Private Sector
FNCCI Gandaki Province expressed confidence that Krishna Prasad Acharya would make a significant contribution to strengthening the federation and advancing its objectives. He is expected to work in accordance with the federation’s statute, regulations and code of conduct while helping formulate and implement necessary procedures.
Krishna Prasad Acharya’s appointment is also expected to strengthen coordination between the tourism sector and the broader private-sector community in Gandaki Province, particularly at a time when tourism remains one of the region’s key economic drivers.

Three Decades of Leadership in Gandaki Tourism
Acharya has been actively involved in the tourism sector through TAAN Gandaki, a regional chapter dedicated to promoting trekking and tourism across Gandaki Province. The association represents 172 tourism-related companies and works to maintain industry standards while supporting sustainable tourism practices.
TAAN Gandaki has played an important role in promoting major trekking destinations in the province, including the Annapurna and Manaslu regions. The organization also supports its members through workshops, training programs and initiatives aimed at improving the overall trekking experience.
Reflecting on TAAN Gandaki’s 31-year journey, Acharya has emphasized the association’s role as a collaborative platform for tourism entrepreneurs and its contribution to promoting Gandaki’s trekking destinations.

Tourism-Private Sector Coordination
Acharya’s inclusion in FNCCI Gandaki Province is expected to provide an additional platform for bringing tourism-sector concerns into broader private-sector discussions. His experience in trekking and tourism is likely to contribute to policy discussions, destination promotion and initiatives aimed at improving the business environment in Gandaki Province.
