Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) has formed HAN-Sudurpaschim, a new provincial chapter aimed at strengthening the hospitality and tourism industry in Sudurpaschim Province.
The formation of the provincial chapter is expected to provide a stronger platform for hoteliers and tourism stakeholders in the province while supporting tourism promotion, hospitality development and industry representation.
HAN Leadership Attends Provincial Chapter Formation
The formation of HAN-Sudurpaschim was attended by Hotel Association Nepal President Binayak Shah and Treasurer Youb Raj Shrestha.
The provincial chapter is expected to work closely with HAN to address issues facing the hospitality sector, promote tourism destinations across Sudurpaschim and represent the interests of hotels and other tourism stakeholders at the provincial level.
Prakash Chandra Bhatta Named President
The newly constituted HAN-Sudurpaschim has appointed Prakash Chandra Bhatta as its President, with Dinesh Raj Bhandari serving as Immediate Past President.
The office bearers of the provincial chapter are:

- Immediate Past President: Dinesh Raj Bhandari
- Senior Vice President: Jagadish Chandra Bhatta
- Vice President: Paramanda Bhandari
- Secretary General: Tharka Bdr. Shah
Executive Committee Formed
The Executive Committee of HAN-Sudurpaschim includes Nagendra Khadka, Bhuwan C. Bhandari, Chandra Prakash Puri, Basanta Bhandari, Sharada Shah, Pashupati Kunwor, Nabaraj Joshi, Gyanendra Gupta and Dipesh Shah.
The newly formed committee will be responsible for coordinating with hoteliers, tourism businesses, government authorities and other stakeholders to support the development of the hospitality industry in the province.
Focus on Tourism and Hospitality Development
HAN expressed confidence that the new provincial chapter would make a meaningful contribution to the growth of the hospitality and tourism sector in Sudurpaschim.
The chapter is expected to play a role in promoting the province’s tourism potential, strengthening the hotel industry, addressing sectoral challenges and creating greater coordination among tourism stakeholders.
The establishment of HAN-Sudurpaschim also comes as part of efforts to strengthen the institutional presence of the hotel industry at the provincial level and ensure that the concerns and opportunities of regional tourism businesses receive greater attention.
