The International Mountain Tourism Alliance (IMTA) has opened the call for applications for Governments, IMTA Members, mountain tourism destinations, and Authorities to apply to host the International Mountain Tourism Day 2027 theme event. The program will bring together mountain destinations and tourism authorities to promote mountain tourism while also facilitating international cooperation and cultural exchange. It is expected that interested destinations will start preparing the applications for the event before the deadline.
Global Call Issued For 2027 Mountain Tourism Event By IMTA
International Mountain Tourism Alliance (IMTA) announced that it has opened the hosting opportunity for Governments, its Members, mountain tourism destinations and Authorities willing to organize the 2027 theme event. The selected applicant will be given a platform to showcase its mountain tourism potential to the international community while also facilitating a space to discuss tourism and cooperation. In 2018, the event was held in China, Nepal, Laos, France and Spain. Applicants Required To Submit Event Plans
The applicants for the hosting rights will be required to submit Application letter and Preliminary event plan which will include details on the arrangements and support for the program. The document will give a general impression of the preparations for the event. Notably, the applicants can use the proposal to present their views, plans and any other form of support for the international event. Therefore, the application will give the IMTA a better understanding of the capabilities of the applicant to host the event.
