The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), in collaboration with the Embassy of Nepal in Dhaka, organized a tourism promotion programme in Dhaka, Bangladesh, under the theme “Nepal Is Calling: Visit, Explore, Experience” on October 28, 2026. The programme aimed to further strengthen tourism ties between Nepal and Bangladesh while highlighting the country’s diverse tourism products and positioning the country as a safe, welcoming, and year-round destination for Bangladeshi travellers.
Tourism Promotion Through B2B Networking
The programme brought together tourism stakeholders from Nepal and Bangladesh for business-to-business (B2B) networking and interaction. The networking session provided an opportunity for tourism businesses from both countries to establish new connections, exchange information about tourism products and services, and explore potential business partnerships. The initiative is expected to contribute to stronger cooperation between travel trade stakeholders and support the promotion of the country’s tourism offerings in the Bangladeshi market.

Nepal Highlights Diverse Tourism Experiences
During the programme, the country’s tourism attractions and experiences were presented to participants, showcasing the country’s diverse destinations, natural landscapes, cultural heritage and adventure opportunities. The country offers a wide range of tourism experiences within a relatively compact geographical area, from the Himalayan mountains and trekking trails to cultural heritage sites, wildlife destinations, spiritual tourism and adventure activities. The tourism promotion programme emphasized Nepal’s ability to cater to visitors throughout the year, with different destinations and experiences offering opportunities across various seasons.

Cultural Performances Add Local Flavour
The programme also featured cultural performances, adding a cultural dimension to the tourism promotion initiative. The performances provided Bangladeshi participants with an opportunity to experience aspects of the country’s rich cultural heritage while reinforcing the country’s identity as a destination known for its diverse traditions, festivals, music, dance, and hospitality. The combination of tourism presentations, business networking, and cultural showcases created a platform to present the country beyond its Himalayan image and highlight the broader experiences available to international visitors.

Strengthening Nepal–Bangladesh Tourism Cooperation
The programme forms part of the country’s continued efforts to strengthen tourism cooperation with Bangladesh and expand its presence in the Bangladeshi travel market. Bangladesh remains an important regional tourism market for the country, with opportunities to increase visitor arrivals through stronger connectivity, targeted destination promotion, and closer cooperation between travel and tourism businesses. By bringing tourism stakeholders together in Dhaka, the programme sought to encourage greater collaboration between the two countries’ tourism industries and create new opportunities for travel trade partnerships.

Nepal Invites Bangladeshi Travellers
The central message of the programme was captured in its theme, “Nepal Is Calling: Visit, Explore, Experience,” inviting Bangladeshi travellers to discover the country through its diverse tourism experiences. Through such promotional initiatives, the country is seeking to strengthen its image as a destination that offers not only mountain adventures but also culture, nature, wellness, wildlife, heritage, and hospitality.
The Nepal Tourism Board and the Embassy of Nepal in Dhaka have emphasized the importance of continued engagement with international tourism markets to expand the country’s tourism reach and encourage more visitors to explore the country. The Dhaka programme therefore served as both a tourism promotion platform and a business networking opportunity, reinforcing the growing potential for Nepal–Bangladesh tourism cooperation.
