Emirates has received four major travel industry awards in October 2026, earning recognition for its airline services and passenger experience across different cabin classes. The accolades were presented through two prominent industry award programs held in Singapore, highlighting the airline’s performance in both regional and international categories. The recognition included Best Airline (Middle East) at the Travel Weekly Asia Readers’ Choice Awards 2026 and three global titles at the Business Traveler Awards. These achievements further strengthen Emirates’ position in the international aviation and travel industry.

The awards were received on behalf of the airline by Rashed Alfajeer, Emirates’ Country Manager for Singapore and Brunei. The recognition came during a period of continued investment in passenger services, cabin improvements and onboard facilities. Emirates has introduced several new products and upgrades over the past year, covering First Class, Premium Economy and Economy. The latest awards highlight the airline’s efforts to enhance the travel experience across its different cabin offerings.
Emirates Secures Top Recognition at Two Major Travel Awards
Emirates was named Best Airline (Middle East) at the ‘Travel Weekly Asia Readers‘ Choice Awards 2026 on October 1. The award was determined through votes from travel professionals and industry stakeholders, recognising the airline’s performance in the regional aviation market. It provided the first major recognition for Emirates during the month. The award also reflected the confidence placed in the airline by professionals working across the travel industry.

Later, on October 21, Emirates received three major global honours at the Business Traveller Awards 2026. The airline won Best First Class in the World, Best Premium Economy in the World and Best Economy in the World. It had been nominated in six categories overall, including Best Airline in the World, Best Business Class in the World and Best Cabin Crew in the World. The three wins recognised its passenger offerings across different travel classes.
Three Global Cabin Awards Highlight Passenger Experience
The three awards at the Business Traveller Awards recognised Emirates’ services across First Class, Premium Economy and Economy. The airline’s achievement across all three cabin categories highlights the range of passenger experiences it offers on international routes. The recognition also reflects the importance of cabin comfort, onboard services and product development in the highly competitive global aviation market. Emirates has continued to invest in improvements designed to meet the changing expectations of travellers.

Commenting on the results, Jonny Clark, Managing Director of Business Traveller, said Emirates’ continued enhancement of its passenger experience across its fleet had resonated with judges and consumers. He highlighted the airline’s performance from First Class to Economy and its consistency in delivering its onboard offerings. The recognition followed the airline’s nomination in six categories, demonstrating its presence across several areas of the passenger experience. The awards placed particular emphasis on the quality of its cabin products.
Emirates Introduces New Cabin Innovations and Onboard Services
Over the past year, Emirates has introduced several developments aimed at improving comfort and convenience for passengers. These include what the airline describes as the world’s first electric Premium Economy seat with a full height privacy screen and the world’s first U-Dream Headrest in Economy Class. The airline has also surpassed one million onboard Starlink Wi Fi connections, reflecting passenger use of its connectivity services. These developments form part of its broader efforts to upgrade the onboard experience.
Emirates has also introduced new Bvlgari amenity kits for First and Business Class passengers while enhancing its premium onboard dining selection. The updated dining offering includes a selection of champagnes and fine wines for eligible cabin classes. Together, these initiatives demonstrate the airline’s focus on combining cabin technology, comfort and hospitality. The latest award results provide further recognition of its ongoing product and service developments.
Singapore Market Marks Emirates’ Longstanding Aviation Presence
The awards also came at an important time for Emirates’ operations in Singapore. In 2025, the airline marked 35 years of operations in the market and celebrated the opening of its Emirates World Store in Singapore. The store forms part of its customer facing retail presence, offering travellers access to its products and services. The anniversary highlighted the airline’s long standing connection with Singapore’s aviation and travel market.
In June 2026, Emirates also marked three years of Premium Economy operations in Singapore, reporting that it had carried more than 88,000 passengers in the cabin since its launch in the market. Rashed Alfajeer described the latest awards as recognition of the trust placed in the airline by customers and industry partners. He said the achievements would encourage Emirates to continue innovating and improving its services as traveler expectations evolve. The airline views the recognition as motivation to maintain its focus on passenger experience across all cabin classes.
