Today, the Employee Unity Center in Pokhara completed the second phase of its environmental and cultural heritage clean-up campaign, focusing on Begnas Lake.
The campaign, which began on the 5th of each month, aims to clean up natural and cultural sites in the Pokhara region. This initiative is part of the center’s commitment to social responsibility, as shared by its Chairman, Loknath Acharya.
During today’s clean-up, efforts were concentrated on the garden area in front of Begnas Lake, the dam, the lake’s shoreline, and the surrounding areas. The event saw participation from security personnel, government employees, civic leaders, and local tourism businesses.
Kaski’s Chief District Officer, Bharatmani Pandey, emphasized that protecting natural heritage is a collective responsibility and expressed hope that such programs would raise public awareness about cleanliness.
