Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Prasad Pandey Departs for ‘Dharma-Dhamma’ Conference in Gujarat

Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, has departed for Gujarat, India, to participate in the upcoming ‘Dharma-Dhamma Conference. The three-day event, now in its eighth edition, is set to take place in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, focusing on fostering dialogue between Hindu and Buddhist civilizations.

Organized by the India Foundation in collaboration with Gujarat University, the ‘Dharma-Dhamma Conference is expected to draw ministers and delegates from several countries, including Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. The theme for this year’s conference is “Cosmology in Dharma and Dhamma,” emphasizing the shared philosophical and cultural connections that have been cultivated over centuries.

The primary objective of the conference is to bring together religious, political, and ideological leaders from the ‘Dharma-Dhamma’ traditions to construct a philosophical framework for the emerging global order. The conference will feature presentations from international scholars, with over 300 delegates from 18 countries expected to attend.

Minister Pandey’s participation underscores Nepal’s commitment to engaging in regional dialogues that promote cultural and religious understanding.
