Today, the weather across Nepal is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology forecasts light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning in various regions, including Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with isolated occurrences in other areas.
There is also a chance of heavy rain at one or two locations within Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces. This weather pattern is attributed to the active monsoon, with the monsoon low-pressure line situated south of its usual position.
Later tonight, the weather is anticipated to shift to partly cloudy to mostly clear conditions in the hilly regions. However, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning may persist in a few areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, with isolated instances in other regions.
The Department advises that, over the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning is likely to continue in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with sporadic occurrences in the remaining provinces.
