The Radha-Krishna Temple in Chhoprak, Siranchowk Rural Municipality-5, has been successfully rebuilt with financial support from the municipality and contributions from the local community. The reconstruction project, which involved a total budget of Rs. 12.5 lakh, included Rs. 10 lakh from the municipality and Rs. 2.5 lakh in donations, along with local labor.
According to Shivachandra Pokhrel, Coordinator of the Temple Management Committee, the funds will also be used to purchase a new statue of Radha-Krishna. Pokhrel emphasized that the temple, which is the oldest in the area, was severely damaged by the earthquake, causing significant issues for religious rituals. The completion of this renovation is expected to alleviate these problems and restore the temple’s role in the community.
