The fifth edition of the Banepa Festival 2081, organized by Banepa Boys Club, began on Friday at the Ugratirth Temple premises in Banepa. The festival, held in celebration of Vijayadashami and Deepawali, was inaugurated by Kundan Raj Kafle, the Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning of Bagmati Province.
During the inauguration, Minister Kafle emphasized the need for the state to ensure business security, urging businesses to fulfill their obligations to the state promptly to strengthen the nation. He noted that prosperity is something that must be achieved through collective responsibility and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to facilitating the necessary processes.
Club President Mahesh Karmacharya highlighted the festival’s aim to enhance Banepa’s prestige and promote internal tourism. The event seeks to develop and promote agriculture, religious, cultural, industrial, handicraft, and sports sectors. The festival, which will run for 16 days, features over 100 commercial stalls showcasing agricultural products, handicrafts, and other local goods.
The Banepa Festival serves as a platform for cultural exchange, economic growth, and entertainment, attracting visitors from around the region to experience the vibrant local culture and traditions.
