A Thai Airways flight, which was held in the air for nearly two hours due to bad weather, has successfully landed at Tribhuvan International Airport. The plane touched down at 2:20 PM after spending significant time circling over the skies of Lalitpur, Makwanpur, and Bara.
The pilot initially attempted to land but had to perform a missed approach, resulting in an overshoot. The aircraft then remained airborne, waiting for favorable weather conditions before making another successful landing.
Similarly, an IndiGo Airlines flight from Delhi to Kathmandu also experienced a lengthy hold before finally landing safely.
Bad weather has caused significant disruptions to both domestic and international flights, with several domestic flights being canceled and others delayed. Most international flights, while not canceled, faced prolonged holding patterns before landing, according to the airport authorities.
Despite these challenges, efforts were made to ensure the safety of passengers and flight operations.
