Simrik Air Rescues Over 200 Victims Stranded by Floods and Landslides

Private airline Simrik Air has reported the successful rescue of more than 200 individuals stranded by floods and landslides. The airline used three helicopters to conduct the rescue operations, which took place from Thursday to Saturday evening, following days of heavy rainfall that triggered landslides and floods.

Simrik Air’s rescue efforts focused on those affected by the floods and landslides, as well as passengers stranded due to blocked roads. The company stated that it deployed one helicopter on Sunday and two on Saturday to rescue victims from Roshi, Nepalthok, and Ramechhap. Many of the rescued individuals, including injured passengers and patients, were airlifted to Dhulikhel for further assistance.

Simrik Air further mentioned that during the rescue operations, it suspended regular flights and prioritized the deployment of helicopters to assist in disaster-stricken areas. The company reaffirmed its commitment to aiding victims during natural calamities, ensuring timely evacuations from affected regions.
