Children’s Park in Bhanu Municipality Gains Popularity Among Domestic Tourists

The recently established Children’s Park in Samjur, Tanahun, has become a popular destination for domestic tourists. Constructed last year through the efforts of the local Chandimai Youth Club, the park has quickly gained attention for its appeal, particularly among young visitors.

Arjun Baniya, president of the Chandimai Youth Club, shared that the park was developed to turn it into a tourist spot, emphasizing its popularity as a “TikTok Park.” “Our main aim is to bring more domestic tourists to the village by creating an attractive site,” he said.

According to Baniya, the park now attracts over 300 domestic tourists daily. “During the Dashain festival, we set up a traditional swing, which was a big draw for visitors. We have also raised a 30-foot Nepali flag and built rest areas. The views of the lush, green hillsides captivate many,” he added.

The park was developed to promote Samjur village, which had remained relatively unknown. Baniya noted that the project was part of the “Let’s Build Our Village” initiative, funded by both local youths and those residing abroad. Residents contributed labor, while those abroad provided financial support. The club also has plans to add more infrastructure to make the park even more attractive.

The Children’s Park stands as a symbol of community effort and has become a source of pride for Samjur, as it brings a steady stream of tourists to enjoy its natural beauty and facilities.
