NATTA Delegation Meets with Honorable Minister to Enhance Nepal’s Tourism Sector

The Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) delegation, led by President Mr. Kumar Mani Thapaliya and Immediate Past President Mr. Ramesh Thapa, held a significant meeting with the Honorable Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Hit Bahadur Tamang on 18th June 2024.

During the meeting, Minister Tamang warmly welcomed the newly elected NATTA board members and extended his best wishes for their upcoming tenure from 2024-2026. The discussions centered around pivotal suggestions presented by NATTA aimed at bolstering Nepal’s tourism industry.

NATTA’s proposals covered a spectrum of critical areas including policy reforms, infrastructure development, international aviation relations, financial systems, immigration issues, and tourism marketing strategies. These suggestions underscored the importance of collaborative efforts between the government and private sector to foster sustainable growth in Nepal’s tourism sector.

Speaking on behalf of NATTA, President Mr. Kumar Mani Thapaliya expressed optimism about the constructive dialogue with Minister Tamang. He emphasized the urgency of implementing strategic reforms to attract more tourists and enhance the overall visitor experience in Nepal.

Minister Tamang appreciated NATTA’s proactive approach and assured the delegation of the government’s commitment to prioritizing tourism as a key driver of economic development. He pledged to review NATTA’s suggestions meticulously and collaborate closely with the association to implement feasible reforms.
