In a recent election held on Friday, Anil KC has been elected as the President of the Nepal Air Sports Association (NAA). KC secured victory with 156 votes, defeating his opponent, Sanobabu Sunuwar, who received 115 votes.
Outgoing President Sunil Bahadur Bhattarai reported that out of 356 eligible voters, 289 cast their votes, while 18 votes were deemed invalid. Bhattarai also noted that all other positions were filled unanimously. The newly elected office bearers include Bijaya Gautam (Technical Vice President), Khemraj Acharya, and Madhav Tiwari as Vice Presidents.
The position of General Secretary has been awarded to Balaram Acharya, with Roshan Gautam as Secretary, Sharmila Sharma as Treasurer, and Resham Bahadur Thapa as Assistant Treasurer. Additionally, Sachin Bomjan, Krishu Paudel, Ravi Adhikari, Lakshman Kunwar, Ganesh Gairhe, and Ramchandra Subedi have been elected as members.
In his post-election remarks, candidate Sunuwar expressed satisfaction with the democratic process of the election, which has led to the formation of a new working committee for the association.
