Ansuvara Group has announced the initiation of a new mixed-use project in the tourist hotspot of Lakeside, Pokhara. Located at Barahi Chowk, Ward 6 of the Pokhara Metropolitan City, the development will feature a “Mixed-Use Building” and is expected to be completed and operational within a few months, according to Saugat Thapa, Managing Director of Ansuvara Group.
The project is set to be inaugurated around the English New Year. Thapa described the construction site at Barahi Chowk, a popular tourist area, as currently under development. He emphasized that the project represents a unique venture in Nepal, offering a new model of commercial buildings that will set Pokhara apart.
“This project will provide a distinctive experience for customers,” Thapa said. “While shopping malls across the country offer shopping and dining, our building will also include a hotel. Tourists will find all necessary services under one roof, from shopping to accommodation.”
The new building, named “31 Avenue” to mark Anshubhara’s 31st year in business, will include a hotel with 20 rooms. The facility will feature three restaurants, a bar, and five retail stores, encompassing various brands, handicrafts, and cafes. The total investment for the project, including land, is estimated at NPR 600 million.
Ansuvara Group previously launched Nepal’s largest shopping mall, the “Pokhara Trade Mall,” which houses 525 shops. They also established the “Ansuvara Square” commercial complex in Lakeside. Besides retail, Ansuvara has investments in automobiles, real estate, hospitality, and financial services.
As the company evolves into a prominent brand, it aims to provide a comprehensive range of services under one roof. Thapa highlighted their commitment to creating employment opportunities within Nepal to curb youth migration abroad. The project also reflects a focus on technological integration and international marketing.
With Pokhara recently declared a tourism capital, Thapa emphasized that the investment is aligned to enhance tourism-friendly infrastructure in the region. The new development is expected to contribute significantly to the city’s tourism and commercial landscape.
