A national conference on culture and heritage is scheduled to be organized by the Association for the Study of Religion and Culture – Nepal (ASCR-Nepal). The first national conference promoting religion, culture, and heritage research is being held by the association in partnership with the National College. The National College in Dhumbarahi will host the event on Baisakh 11 and 12 (April 23–24). The conference’s theme is “Bridging Past and Present: Understanding Cultural Practices and Religion,” according to Prof. Dr. Som Prasad Khatiwada, president of ASCR-Nepal.

Papers on religion, culture, archaeology, and heritage will be presented by 32 researchers in total. According to Prof. Khatiwada, the gathering will unite scholars, stakeholders, and researchers from all over the nation, both novice and seasoned. Academic writing for young researchers will be the subject of a special seminar on April 23. On April 24, group discussions encompassing all conference topics will take place.

Professors, instructors, students, and representatives from different organizations that study, research, and preserve Nepal’s material and intangible heritage will all be among the participants.

The research papers presented at the conference will be published in the college’s regular academic journal, according to Madhav Neupane, principal of National College. Achyut Prasad Wagle, the vice chancellor of Kathmandu University, and Peshala Dahal, the former registrar of Tribhuvan University, are among the keynote speakers.
