The International Panchang Decision Committee has announced the auspicious timings for applying the Dashain Tika for Nepal and 32 other countries. The committee announced queries from Sanatan Dharma followers residing abroad.
According to the committee’s member secretary, Laxman Panthi, the auspicious time for Kathmandu, Nepal, is set for 11:36 AM on October 12, 2024 (Asoj 26). The timings for other countries include 11:42 AM in Delhi, India, 10:01 AM in New York, and 10:39 AM in Frankfurt, Kentucky, USA.
Further timings for cities in the U.S. include 9:45 AM for Owensboro, Kentucky, 10:05 AM for Texas, 9:55 AM for Washington, D.C., and 9:39 AM for California.
For Canada, the auspicious times are 10:15 AM for Toronto and 10:27 AM for Vancouver on October 12. In Japan, Tokyo’s timing is 11:35 AM on October 13, while Australia has timings for Sydney at 11:21 AM, Melbourne at 11:27 AM, Brisbane at 11:29 AM, and Canberra at 11:15 AM.
Other notable timings include 10:24 AM for Lisbon, Portugal, 10:21 AM for London, UK, 10:23 AM for Paris, France, and 10:19 AM for Oslo, Norway.
Dr. Madhav Bhattarai, the committee chairperson, confirmed these timings along with details for cities in the Middle East and Asia, including 11:57 AM for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 11:45 AM for Abu Dhabi, UAE, 11:05 AM for Doha, Qatar, and 11:21 AM for Bangkok, Thailand.
The committee’s decision was made due to the growing demand for Dashain Tika timings from the Nepali diaspora and Sanatan Dharma followers worldwide.
