Aviation Operators’ Association Addresses Concerns Over Air Safety Criticisms

The Aviation Operators’ Association has voiced serious concerns about recent criticisms of air safety, describing them as unnecessary and misleading. In a statement released today, Manoj Karki, President of the association, highlighted that various media comments regarding the air safety of aviation companies and the regulatory role of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) have garnered significant attention from the association.

The statement underscores that the association, its member airlines, and CAAN adhere strictly to the standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). This commitment ensures a high level of sensitivity towards aviation safety and security.

Reaffirming its dedication to air safety, the association has urged the public to disregard any misleading criticisms. It clarified that aviation accidents typically occur under uncontrollable circumstances and are not a result of the actions or desires of individuals, institutions, or regulatory bodies.
