The facilities included in the discount scheme cover cable car rides, sky cycling activities, and services at the drive-in restaurant operated by the company.
Officials from both organizations stated that the initiative is aimed at encouraging domestic tourism while also providing added value benefits to banking customers and staff members. Bandipur, known for its scenic hilltop views and cultural heritage, has been increasingly attracting both domestic and international visitors, and the partnership is expected to further boost tourist flow to the region.
Cashless Payment System Promoted for Seamless Experience
As per the agreement, customers can avail the discount facility by making payments through Prime Commercial Bank’s debit card, credit card, or mobile banking services. This move is expected to promote digital transactions and support the government’s broader agenda of expanding cashless payment systems in the tourism sector.

Similarly, employees of Prime Commercial Bank must present their official employee identity cards to receive the applicable discount benefits while using the services. The arrangement ensures that the benefits are accessible in a structured and verified manner for eligible users.
Strengthening Banking and Tourism Collaboration
Representatives from both institutions highlighted that the partnership reflects a growing trend of collaboration between the financial and tourism sectors in Nepal. By integrating banking services with tourism-related discounts, the agreement aims to enhance customer experience while simultaneously supporting local tourism businesses.
Bandipur Cable Car and Tourism Limited has been actively promoting Bandipur as a major tourist destination through infrastructure development and adventure-based attractions such as cable car rides and sky cycling. Meanwhile, Prime Commercial Bank has been expanding customer-centric services through digital banking innovations and value-added partnerships across different sectors.
Boost for Domestic Tourism in Bandipur Region
Bandipur, located in Tanahun district, is one of Nepal’s emerging hill tourism destinations known for its panoramic Himalayan views, traditional architecture, and cultural heritage. The new partnership is expected to make tourism services more affordable and accessible, encouraging more domestic visitors to explore the region.

Officials believe that the discount scheme will not only benefit bank customers and employees but also contribute to increasing footfall at Bandipur’s key attractions, thereby supporting local businesses and the broader tourism economy.
The agreement marks another step toward strengthening public-private collaboration in Nepal’s tourism sector while promoting digital payment adoption and enhancing customer experience across service industries.
