Tourism entrepreneurs from Bandipur have taken their promotional efforts abroad, actively marketing the ‘Visit Bandipur Year 2025’ campaign on an international platform. The campaign was showcased at the ‘Exhibition and Trade Show’ held in Istanbul, Turkey, where they introduced Bandipur’s rich tourism potential to a global audience.
Representing Bandipur, Aashutosh Pradhan, and Hari Lamichhane participated in the event, highlighting the town’s historical significance, cultural heritage, natural beauty, and adventure tourism opportunities. Speaking about the initiative, Pradhan stated that the goal was to enhance Bandipur’s visibility on an international level and attract more foreign visitors.

Currently, Bandipur receives around 100,000 tourists annually, but the campaign aims to double this number by intensifying tourism promotion efforts. Surendra Thapa, Chairperson of Bandipur Rural Municipality, emphasized that the local government is committed to showcasing all tourist destinations across different wards of the municipality.
To make Bandipur even more attractive, special programs reflecting its ancient heritage and historical charm will be introduced. The focus will be on preserving and promoting Bandipur as a protected heritage site and a culturally significant town.

As part of the campaign, a two-day travel package has been designed, covering major cultural and religious sites in the region. The itinerary includes Bandipur, Chimkeshwari, Manakamana, Gorkha Temple, Ligligkot, and Bhanu’s birthplace, with the journey concluding back in Bandipur.
With this international promotion, Bandipur aims to establish itself as a must-visit destination in Nepal, attracting both domestic and foreign travelers while boosting the local economy through sustainable tourism.
