Bhisma Prasad Neupane has been elected as the new president of the Tourist Bus Association of Nepal (TBAN). The election occurred during TBAN’s 13th Annual General Meeting and 7th Convention held on Thursday, where a seven-member executive committee was unanimously elected under Neupane’s leadership.
Neupane, who serves as the Managing Director of Chitwan Safari, will lead the association with newly elected First Vice President Deepak Bhattarai, Second Vice President Ashok Aryal, and General Secretary Prakash Chandra Adhikari. The committee also includes Chiranjivi Giri as Treasurer, with Ramesh Paudel, Sujan Dahal, and Chhabilal Ghimire serving as members, as announced by Election Committee Coordinator Srikant Acharya.
TBAN, which significantly contributes to the country’s economic development through tourist bus services, operates routes from Kathmandu to major destinations including Pokhara, Chitwan, Lumbini, and Janakpur.
As the new president, Neupane has pledged to advocate for the establishment of a tourist bus park in Kathmandu and to address the challenges faced by tourist bus operators.
