The black box from the Saurya Airlines plane that crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport has been sent to Singapore for detailed analysis. This crucial step is part of the ongoing investigation into the tragic accident that claimed 18 lives.
An investigation team, led by Ratish Chandra Lal Suman, the coordinator of the government-formed commission, traveled to Singapore with the black box. “The black box is crucial for investigating aircraft accidents. The cockpit voice and flight data records are being examined in Singapore,” revealed a source. The team is expected to return within a few days.
The commission has already completed its on-site investigation. The crash occurred during a flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara for a C-Check. Pilot Manish Ratna Shakya, who was injured in the crash, has been discharged after treatment.
The five-member commission has been given 45 days to complete the investigation into the accident. Their findings will be pivotal in understanding the cause of the crash and preventing similar incidents in the future.
