Bomb Threat on Vistara Airline Flight Investigated at Tribhuvan International Airport

Tribhuvan International Airport is currently under investigation by the Nepalese Army after a bomb threat was reported on a Vistara Airlines flight. The flight, which had arrived from New Delhi, India, caused concern when rumors of a bomb on board began to circulate.

Upon receiving the threat, the Nepalese Army’s bomb disposal unit was deployed to thoroughly search the aircraft. According to Army spokesperson Gaurav Kumar KC, the search operation is ongoing, but no suspicious items have been found so far. Passengers were evacuated safely, and the bomb squad continued to inspect the plane.

The incident involves Vistara flight number ‘UK 155,’ with reports suggesting that the bomb threat originated from a phone call made in Delhi. Nepal’s Civil Aviation Authority spokesperson, Gyanendra Bhul, confirmed that the aircraft and passenger baggage have been searched with no suspicious objects found. He also noted that the luggage and cargo will undergo further checks.

Despite the bomb scare, flight operations at Tribhuvan International Airport have not been disrupted. However, aircraft are being prevented from parking near the Vistara plane as a precautionary measure. Bhul emphasized that regular flight schedules are being maintained.

The authorities are continuing their investigation into the bomb threat to ensure the safety of all passengers and personnel at the airport.
