Authorities have confirmed that there was no bomb on the Vistara Airlines flight from New Delhi to Kathmandu after a thorough investigation. The bomb scare occurred shortly after the flight, numbered ‘UK 155,’ landed in Kathmandu, prompting immediate security measures.
Following the report, a bomb disposal unit from the Nepalese Army, along with other security personnel, launched an investigation. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dambar Bahadur Bk, spokesperson for the airport security office, confirmed that no suspicious items were found on board, dismissing the bomb threat as a false alarm.
The flight, which landed in Kathmandu at 4:30 PM today, was carrying 157 passengers. All passengers were isolated for security checks, and both hand baggage and luggage were thoroughly inspected. After no threats or hazardous objects were detected, passengers were allowed to continue to their destinations. The airport authorities are maintaining regular operations, and no further disruptions have been reported.
